Ballymaloe Cookery School Gardens and Shell House

We had a delightful mini break in Ireland staying at Ballymaloe House, it was heavenly, I've written a little about it here on A Trifle Rushed.

We were lucky to have had beautiful weather and were able to get out and about.

The cookery school is about three miles away from the Hotel, and we explored the gardens.  They were lovely but the highlight was the Shell House.

Have you ever been there?  What did you think about the Shell House?

Wonderful kitchen gardens to explore

All kinds of delights growing

Ducks relaxing by the pond

Free range chickens!

The more we looked

The more amazed

We were

If the food wasn't fabulous, then I would say
it was worth visiting just for the Shell House!
